Norman Edward Jenne, was born on May 13, 1925 and passed into glory on Sunday, June 19, 2022.

Norman was born in Detroit Michigan and joined the war effort at age 17. He served in World War II and Korea in the Air Force as a Navigator. He graduated from University of Houston in 1950 with a degree in Engineering. Norman went on to have a very successful career in designing and implementing large air conditioning systems in some of the largest skyscrapers in Houston. Norman's wife, Mary was the love of his life and predeceased him in 2015. In the years since then he made many friends with his neighbors and exercise buddies at the YMCA. His family and friends knew him by his much-cited philosophy, "one day at a time". Norman was a Christian and lived by Romans 8:28. His headstone, as chosen by him reads, "Walking with God".

He is survived by his daughter Laura Jenne Richard and his beloved grandchildren, Mary Catherine, James and Margaret. The family wishes to especially thank family friend, Michelle Hileman for her unwavering love and attention to Norman as well as all the caregivers who so unselfishly gave of their time and expertise to help Norman be comfortable in his last days.

A graveside service will be held for family and friends on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77038. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting contributions be made to the Salvation Army https://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/

Our sincere sympathy to Laura and family in the passing of your wonderful Father and Grandfather. A person is best remembered by those that shared their life. Norman was very loved and cherished by you all and will be remembered in the stories you shared. I wish I could have known him better because he was one of a kind and had many great qualities I admire. Our last prayers for God’s comfort and grace in the days to come. - Jay and Diane Shepard
