Andrew Hurt Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

After a lengthy period of self reflection, Andrew Fischer Hurt concluded that his body was obsolete for his celestial aspirations; thus on June 9th, 2015 he departed this world in pursuit of the divine. Andrew was a friend to many, stranger to no one, and life-long companion to a free range Labrador. He was the pure embodiment of a free spirit, who fearlessly followed the path of curiosity wherever it led him, from the desert winds of West Texas to the Bywater of New Orleans. Andrew was born and raised in Houston, Texas by two loving parents, whom he has now joined in Heaven. He leaves behind two older brothers, Nathan and his wife Rebecca; and Silas, his niece and nephew Amanda and Travis, as well as many other family members across Texas. In this life, Andrew held a passion for neuroscience, which he tirelessly researched in the footsteps of his father. Music was the essence through which Andrew expressed his being. His record collection was as expansive and diverse as his philosophy. There was not a genre unexplored or artist underappreciated within his time. A nomad by nature, Andrew existed in a constant state of exploration, always in search of new friends and novel experiences. It is an understatement to say that he will be missed. Oh, we would have loved your company for a while longer dear Andrew, but if you must go we wish you only the best.
