Anthony Brown

With heavy hearts and a spirit of celebration, we announce the passing of Anthony James Lamarcus Brown, born on October 25, 1965, in Omaha, Nebraska. Anthony, a loving father, and cherished friend, transitioned to eternal rest on March 6, 2025. Anthony’s life was marked by his dedication to service and love for family. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Sergeant from October 28, 1986, until June 30, 2006, earning respect for his commitment and leadership. Following his military career, Anthony excelled as a Manager at Coca-Cola, where his work ethic and passion for the industry shone brightly. He is survived by his sister Vanessa Perkins, brother Carl Brown, daughters Chloe and Maya Brown, stepdaughter Latoya Hubbard, father Wilbur Brown, aunt Jackie Whitaker, uncle Bobby Duncan, ex-wife Cynthia Ellis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and his dog Max. He is joined in heaven by his loving mother the late Gwendolyn Brown, his grandmother the late Elizabeth Brown, aunt Connie, uncle Pete, uncle James, and ex-wife, the late Cassandra Brown. Anthony was a man of many passions. A self-taught musician, he found joy in playing the saxophone, guitar, and piano. His love for music was matched only by his fondness for fishing with his late grandmother, Elizabeth, and enjoying find time with family and friends, especially during the holidays. He took pleasure in the simple joys of life, from playing solitaire on his phone to spending time at his neighborhood's restaurant, the Reggae Jerk Hut. Recently, Anthony embraced a new chapter by purchasing his dream home in Celine, Texas, where he relished the freedom of driving his dream car with the top down. His close-knit relationships with neighbors blossomed into family bonds, enriching his life immensely. A celebration of life will be held in honor of Anthony. Celebration of Life will be held Monday, March 17, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Distinctive Life Funeral Home/Dallas Jewish Funerals, 1611 N. Central Expressway, Plano, TX 75075, allowing family and friends to gather, share stories, and commemorate the remarkable life of a man who brought joy and warmth to all who knew him. We invite everyone to join us as we celebrate the legacy of Anthony James Lamarcus Brown – a true friend, a loving father, and an unforgettable spirit. Rest in peace, Anthony.
