Cris Alan Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Cris A. Grant, 49, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from an unexpected illness. He is preceded in death by his father, Alan Grant. He is survived by his loving wife and son, Nelly F. Grant and son Brandon A. Grant. Cris is also survived by his mother, Joy Jacque, his step-father, Larry Jacque, and his brothers, Shannon Grant, Shane Grant, Daniel Jacque, and his sisters, Holly Grant, Amanda Grant, and Anne Jacque. Born in Plymouth, Wisconsin on May 17, 1966, he attended Oostburg Elementary School, Lincoln Middle School and Port Washington High School. After graduating from high schooI, Cris enlisted in the Navy. During this time, Cris received his associate's degree at Mira Mesa College in San Diego, California. Subsequently, he began flight training in Pensacola, Florida and Corpus Christie, Texas. Nelly and Cris were married in San Diego, California on June 19, 1993. Shortly thereafter, he attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where he received his bachelor's degree followed by his master's degree in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering. On February 18, 2000, they welcomed Brandon to this world. Flying was his passion, only second to his family. He also enjoyed watching movies, playing video games, working on his cars and politics. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Navy never left him, as friends and family will attest. Funeral services will be held at St. Mark the evangelist Catholic Church (1201 Alma Drive, Plano, Texas 75075) on March, 29 2016 at 10:00 am.
