Erine Blackman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Erine L. Blackman was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on February 24, 1935. She passed away on December 17, 2015 at age 80 in Humble, TX. Erine graduated from Atlantic City High School in Atlantic City, NJ in 1953. Erine obtained her A.A. in accounting from Morris County College in 1983. She was employed at the National Aviation Facilities Experimental Center (NAFEC) in Pomona, NJ where she flew flight simulators. In1969, she moved to East Orange, NJ to accept a position in the Newark Post Office. She later became a payroll supervisor at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ. Erine moved to Rochester, NY in 1991 where she was employed at Citi Bank as a student loan officer. She regularly attended Christ Church, Rochester NY. In 2010, Erine moved to Humble, TX and worships at Trinity Church, Houston. She enjoyed watching golf, basketball, and baseball especially her beloved New York Mets. Erine is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Geraldine and Manual Jordan, daughters, Rhonda Rogers and Michele Blackman, her grandchildren Brian Rogers, Gabrielle Blackman, and Joslyn Blackman; her great-grandchild TilaRose Blackman; her beloved nieces and nephews and many other relatives. Erine was preceded in death by her parents, Eustace Blackman and Edna Braithwaite Blackman Whittington, siblings Delores Johnson and Jeanette Hall, and nephew, Jeffrey Johnson. A service will be held at Trinity Church, 1015 Holman Avenue, Houston, TX on January 16 at 2:00 pm. The family will be greeting friends and relatives following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
