Jack Carmen Williams

Jack Carmen Williams was born in Houston, Texas on July 15, 1940 and passed peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025. Jack graduated from Bellaire High School and attended the University of Houston. After serving his country, Jack followed his parents' love of the game of golf. With both parents being Golf Pros, mother, Jackie Williams at Herman and father, Robie Williams at Memorial, Jack grew up with a golf course as his playground. He worked under the wings of both Robie and Jackie, as well as Demaret, Marr, Massengale and others who deepened his love of the game. Memorial Park Golf Course was Jack’s home away from home and where he honed his golf skills. He worked for many clubs, primarily Champions, Longmeadow, Elmwood and Hampshire Country Club in Mamaroneck NY where he was the Pro for close to 30 years. Hampshire was a private Jewish club and during this 13th year as Pro, Jack received an honorary Bar Mitzvah from the members. Golf gave Jack the excuse to make friends. There are so many of you that are amongst the people he held dear. Dick Tindal, Leigh Masterson and Ben Amato, were lucky to have a friendship that included 70 years of story making. Jack always had a story to share. He loved to reminisce about all his escapades and those of others who made an impression. He always laughed the hardest when telling the stories. Jack always had a song on his lips and was often on his phone looking up the next song he wanted us to hear. He loved the oldies the best but appreciated all the talent he was introduced to via his social media. Jack embraced social media as it gave him a portal to find old friends and make new ones. He loved sharing stories, music, pictures of his family and friends and maybe a political post or two. Or many. Jack was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Bobby Williams and grandson Chase. He is survived by his sister Sue Armstrong, former wife Sharon Leonhart Williams, children Lisa Williams Strecker and Timothy Leigh Williams. Jack was “BoBo” to the grand and great grandchildren he adored. Madison, Mckenna, Jack, Arrow, Indah, Emmeline, Luna, Nola, Hāweo and Mila. Although the grands live in Arizona, Hawaii and Germany, BoBo spent time with all of them. A celebration of life will be held in July at Memorial Park Golf Course.
