Kelly Bomar Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kelly Lee Bomar, 58, of Plano passed away in Austin Saturday, March 12, 2016 with family at his side. Memorial services will be held at The Resplendent Garden, 11701 Truman St., Amarillo, Texas on Saturday, May 7, 2016 @ 2:30 p.m. Kelly was born June 12, 1957 in Lockney, Texas. He was raised in Silverton, Texas and graduated from Silverton High School in 1975. He received his Bachelor Degree in Accounting from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas and was a licensed CPA. Kelly was a dedicated accountant for many large accounting firms including PriceWaterhouse Coopers, Deloitte, BKD & Toombs,Hall & Foster. He was accomplished in tax accounting for partnerships and corporations. Kelly was a skilled carpenter and loved building and creating home projects. He was a lover of people and animals and was always at the ready to help his family, friends and fellowman. He loved gardening and was an impressive cook. Kelly was preceded in death by his mother, Wayma Callaway Sturgeon in 2001. He is survived by his sons, Joshua James Bomar and Kelly Ryan Bomar, granddaughter Bianca Bomar and daughter-in-law Natasha Bomar, all of Crown Point, Indiana. He is also survived by his sisters, Kaedean Hammond of Austin,Texas and Kathryn Bomar-Stoner of Louisville, Kentucky, sister-in-law, Stephanie Bomar-Stoner, his nephew, Ky Williams and niece, Katelyn Hammond both of Austin, Texas, and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. The family requests donations be made in Kelly's name to the American Brain Tumor Association.
