Laura Griffn Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Laura Kay Griffin passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014. She was born in Mobile, Alabama on March 11th 1958 to John and Florence Harbin. Laura was a veteran crew member of the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa, the official tall ship of Texas. She was employed at Lone Star Legal Aid in Houston, Texas. Laura is survived by father John Harbin, stepmother Sherie Harbin, brother John Harbin II, son Josh Mealer, daughter Crystal Mealer Patterson, stepdaughter Steffany Mealer, Boyfriend David Altman, granddaughters Gabrielle and Scarlet, grandsons Mykel and Halo and scores of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Florence. A memorial service will be held at on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Distinctive Life Funreal Home Chapel, 5455 Dashwood, Bellaire, Texas 77401. The chapel will be open at 12:00 pm. A celebration of Laura's Life will take place at her home immediately after the service at 5217 Arboles Drive, Houston, Texas 77035.
