Nancy Elizabeth (Lockwood Ward) Castle lost her battle with Alzheimer's on May 15, 2017 in Plano, Texas. She was born July 7, 1939 in Ischua, New York to Millard and Ellen (Rogers) Lockwood. She retired from Verizon in 2003. She survived by her four children, Margie Martinez of Ironwood, MI, Dale Ward of Cleburne, TX, Dena (Robert) Berger of Plano TX and Anthony Ward of Corinth, TX. She had 11 grandchildren, William Matlock, Jennifer (Lee) Smircic, Donna (Landon) Hill, Anette (Craig) Thedy, Michelle (Ryan) Cunningham, Camilla Jane (Tom) Ward, Mellissa Berger, Nicole (Jordan) Anthony, Diana Ward, Sarah Hughes and Amie Hughes. She had 10 great grandchildren: Angelo, Caleb, Cody, Morgan, Cheyenne, Jorge, Ci'arha, Ada, Gavin and Ronan. She has 8 surviving siblings, Millard Lockwood, Barbara Lockwood, Ernest Lockwood, Russell Lockwood, Lula Welch, George Lockwood and Sue Tarr. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, June Ann Ward (1956); ex-husband, Donald Ward (1991); husband George Castle (2000) and sister, Lynette Stone (1968).
