Reba Faye Palmer, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Richardson, Texas, on October 31, 2023, at the age of 77. Born in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Ava Ray and Gladys Faye (Sanner) Fletcher. She was the oldest of 4 siblings. Reba's life was defined by her strong family values, unwavering faith, and dedication to her loved ones. Reba, known for her warm and welcoming nature, had an extraordinary ability to maintain lifelong friendships. Despite the passing of time, she remained in close contact with friends she had known since childhood, always eager to share stories and memories. Reba's love for family extended beyond her immediate relatives, as she took great pride in being the keeper of the family history, effortlessly recounting names and connections that spanned generations. After attending Duncan Senior High School, Reba pursued her passion for beauty as a licensed Beauty Operator. For many years, she skillfully provided her services until her family relocated to Fort Worth, Texas. Throughout her life, Reba had an unwavering devotion to her faith and was an active member of the Church of Christ. She actively contributed to her church community by teaching Sunday School when her sons were young and participating in various activities, such as leading songs with the children and volunteering for the church bus ministry. Sports played a significant role in Reba's life, and she was a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys. She enthusiastically supported her team at games and enjoyed rooting for other Dallas sports teams, including the Texas Rangers. She would have been ecstatic to see the Texas Rangers win the World Series. Reba cherished the time spent with her sons, William Ray Palmer and Jon Michael Palmer, discussing game plays and sharing in the excitement of their achievements. Reba held a deep pride in her Choctaw heritage and was an active member of the Choctaw Nation. She considered it an honor to be part of a rich cultural legacy and instilled a sense of pride in her children and grandchildren for their Native American roots. Reba's life was filled with love and devotion to her family. She was married to Mike Palmer and together they raised their two sons, creating a home filled with love and warmth. Reba embraced the role of a mother with joyous dedication, cherishing every moment spent with her sons. As "Oma," she showered her three granddaughters, Sydney Palmer Bocan-Collins, Rayleigh Palmer, and Quincy Palmer, with boundless love and adoration. Her great-granddaughter, Izabella Bocan-Collins, brought immeasurable joy into Reba's life, making her heart overflow with love and pride. Reba will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her genuine kindness, and her famous saying, "saucered and blowed," signifying decisions already made. Her grandkids cherished this endearing expression, which captured Reba's unwavering support and playfulness. She is preceded in death by her loving parents Ava Ray Fletcher and Gladys Faye (Sanner) Fletcher. She will be greatly missed by her sons; William Ray (Lisa) Palmer from Rowlett, Texas, Jon Michael Palmer of Richardson, Texas. Her granddaughters; Dr. Sydney Palmer (Michael) Bocan-Collins of Bahrain, Rayleigh Melia Palmer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Quincy Ilima Palmer of Rowlett, Texas. Her great granddaughter Izabella Elena Bocan-Collins of Bahrain. Reba Faye Palmer's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call her family or friend. She leaves behind cherished memories and a profound impact on the lives she touched. Rest in peace, dear Reba. May your spirit continue to guide and inspire us all.
