Shahram Shahi Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Shahram "Shawn" Shahi, 55, died Saturday Jan. 16, 2016, at Medical City Hospital in Dallas Texas. Shahram was the son of Fariborz Shahi and Mary Ramona Anderson. Shahram was born on Oct. 19, 1960, in Austin Minnesota. Shahram attended Jackson Middle School in Garland, Texas, Richardson Jr. High School in Richardson, Texas and graduated from Hillcrest High School in Dallas in 1979. In Feb. 1993 he graduated from DeVry University with a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology and in August 2005, he received his Texas Teacher Certification in Mathematics. "Between" 2005-2010 he taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade Math at Thomas Edison Middle School in Dallas, Texas. "Between" 2010-2015 he taught 6th, 7th and Pre-AP Math at Seagoville Middle School in Seagoville Texas. From 2015 to the date of his death, he taught Math at Trinity Basin Preparatory School in Dallas, Texas where he felt most satisfied as a teacher. Shahram most proudly spoke about "his Kids" (students) with a great deal of love and passion. He was living his dream as a teacher. Shahram enjoyed gatherings with family and friends especially when there was a challenging game of cards. He loved reading books watching movies, playing chess and backgammon. He had a great love for sailing and kayaking. He attended and loved Trinity Fellowship Church where he was baptized in 2014. He is survived by his brother: Shaz Anderson and his wife Sherry (Plano, TX). His sister: Mary T. Minnis and boyfriend Jeff wing (Indianapolis, IN) Niece: Crystal L. Anderson (Plano, TX) and Nephew: Samuel Minnis (Indianapolis, IN). Shahram was greatly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
