Daniel Scott Jones Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

DANIEL SCOTT JONES The family of Daniel Jones would like to thank you for your kindness during this difficult time. Knowing you care helps. Daniel Scott Jones, age 41, a loving husband, father, son and brother passed away on October 9th at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas after a short illness. Danny was born to Dai and Eileen Jones on February 29th 1972 in Buffalo, New York. He moved to Texas in 1978 and resided there until his death. Dan graduated from Trinity High School in 1990 and attended The University of Texas at Arlington. Dan worked at many of the area golf courses during this time and was well known in the HEB area. He moved to Dallas in 1994 and entered the computer field, an endeavor that took him all over the United States and over seas. During the last 5 years he worked mainly for The Insource Group at various locations in the Metroplex. On May 2nd 2009 Dan married his wife Rachel and enjoyed being a husband and father to her girls. Rachel filled Dan's life and home in Richardson with love and happiness. Rachel was at his bedside as Dan left this world fulfilling her promise to him, till death do us part. Daniel is survived by his wife Rachel, daughters Hayley and Landey Jones, his parents Dai and Eileen Jones of The Villages, Florida, his twin brother David and wife Niki Jones of Bedford, Tx and sister Sheila Jones of Plano Tx. Daniel is also survived by nephew Dalton Jones and niece Jenna Jones and his uncles Michael (Carol) and Robert Hirsch. A memorial will be held on Saturday Feb 1st 2014 at Texas Star Golf Course Euless Tx from 12 noon till 3pm with a celebration of Danny's life starting at 12:30 pm.
