Janet M. Stroman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Janet Mary Stroman, 69, of Leander, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016, with loved ones by her side. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2pm, Friday, January 29th, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10205 FM 620, Austin, 78726, with Father Sushl Ekka presiding. A Reception to honor Janet will follow services at The Oasis on Lake Travis beginning at 4pm. Arrangements are under the care of Distinctive Life Cremations and Funerals of Austin. Janet was born Tuesday, September 17, 1946 to Edward Albert Stroman and Janet Mary (O'Neil) Stroman in Buffalo, NY, where she lived at the same address until she left to attend college at the University of Vermont in the 60's. She worked diligently and obtained her RN, and went on to earn an MSN from Boston College. Her tender nature and skillful care was practiced throughout her career in Nursing. Her most recent position was as the Director of Nursing for Meridell Achievement Center in Liberty Hill, Texas. Janet had a beautiful and loving family. She was married to Bruce Buehler, Nov 25, 1987, and together they raised Katie. Janet loved to read avidly, travel to experience life around her, and spend quality time with friends and family. Janet is survived by her beloved husband, Bruce Buehler; daughter, Katie Buehler and husband, Tyler Cook; two brothers, Michael and Neil, and sisters, Christy and Susan, and their families. Special thanks to Dr. Beth Hellerstedt and her wonderful staff at Texas Oncology in Round Rock, and to the staff at Lago Vista Physical Therapy.
