Joshua Alleyne

oshua “Josh” Alleyene, 39, of Miami, Florida, passed away on October 31, 2025. He was born on October 28, 1986, at Nyack Hospital in Nyack, New York, to Demetrius Alleyne Sr. and Francesca Alleyne. Josh grew up in Miami Lakes, Florida, where he attended American Senior High School and played high school football, graduating in 2004. Known for his determination and bright spirit from an early age, Josh’s mother fondly remembers him earning the “Turnaround Kid” award in fourth grade—a testament to his resilience and growth. Josh built a career as an insurance broker, working with companies like Liberty Mutual, and was known for his strong work ethic. In recent years, he worked with U-Haul and found personal fulfillment using his hands as a skilled handyman and carpenter, always willing to lend a hand to others. In June of 2020, Josh married his high school sweetheart and mother of 3 boys, Alejandra Alleyne, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. He shared a beautiful bond with his children: Alijah Yamil Alleyne, Janiyah Nevaeh Alleyne, Jeremiah Alexander Alleyne, and Ezra Josiah Alleyne who were his greatest joy and proudest accomplishments. His best friend and partner in adventure was his son, Alijah, with whom he shared a special bond and connection. He was born into Faith Temple Church of Christ Written in Heaven in Spring Valley, New York, a church founded by his family, where generations before him led others to the Lord. Later in life, Josh dedicated his life to God at Jesus Life International, where his faith deepened and became the center of his life. He had a big heart, a smile that could light up any room, and a gift for making people laugh, whether by riding his scooter up to his parents’ patio door to surprise them or simply by being his genuine, loyal self. At his core, Josh loved his family deeply, loved football, especially cheering for the New York Giants, and found purpose in building and fixing things with his hands. He is survived by his wife, Alejandra Alleyne; his children, Alijah, Janiyah, Jeremiah, and Ezra; his parents, Demetrius Sr. and Francesca Alleyne; his brother, Demetrius Alleyne Jr.; his sister, Mishalyn Harris; a host of nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply. Josh will be remembered for his radiant smile, loyal heart, and the love he gave so freely. His memory will continue to live on in the laughter of his children and the many lives he touched
