Kathy Jean Euseppi

Kathy Jean Euseppi, 73 of Dallas, Texas, died peacefully in hospice on April 9th, 2026 after a long battle and decline from Parkinson’s. Kathy was born in Killeen, Texas, on December 22, 1952, to Mary Kathryn Smith and Bobby Jean Phelan. After his military service, the family returned to Prairie Grove, Arkansas, where Kathy graduated from Prairie Grove High School in 1970. She went on to attend the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, earning a Bachelor of Education in 1974, specializing in elementary and early childhood education. It was there that she met her husband, Ned Paul Euseppi, on a blind date. They married on September 9, 1972, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, at Saint Thomas Church. Kathy began her teaching career in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and continued in Pine Bluff, where she lived until 1986. The Euseppi family later relocated to El Paso, Texas, in 1990, where Kathy continued teaching until 2000. In retirement, she enjoyed working at local shops including Vanities Gift Shop and Al Varlea Cosmetics. She also volunteered in her children’s schools, supported the Insights Museum alongside her husband, and was active in the local Garden Club. Kathy remained in El Paso till 2014 moving to Dallas, Texas to be near her children, Julie and Paul and grandchildren, who she adored. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Paul Euseppi (2001), and her son, Jonathan David Euseppi (2023). She is survived by her daughter, Julie Kathryn Euseppi of Dallas, Texas; her son, Ned Paul Euseppi of Juno Beach, Florida; her grandchildren, Gia, Vincent, and Roman; and her siblings Jim Phelan, Bill Phelan, Kathryn Huddler, and Risee Chandler, all of northwest Arkansas. She is remembered by her six siblings, of whom she was the oldest, as generous, patient, and a steady matriarch. Even as a teenager, she helped raise her siblings and support her mother. Her children recall her laugh, her love of a good martini, her pride in her husband’s marina, her natural talent for creating a beautiful home, and her thoughtful gift-giving. Her life was centered around her family and the care she gave to others.
