Shirley Jean Watts, 83, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died June 26, 2014 in Houston, Texas. She was born August 27, 1930 to Alma Eliza (Berven) and Arthur Marinus Hansen in Swan Lake Township, Emmet Co., Iowa, and was married September 10, 1950 to Robert "Bob" Watts, who preceded her in death, July 8, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her eldest son David Watts in 1968, and her only brother Lloyd Hansen in 2007. Survivors include her sons: Dan and wife Sally of Inver Grove Heights, MN, and Steve and wife Julie of Houston, TX; grandchildren and their families: Joel, wife Blake and daughter Zoe Watts of Houston; Brandy, husband Jake and children Greta and August Gundry of Inver Grove Heights; Alison and husband Matthew Enthoven of Santa Monica, CA; Jennifer, husband Thomas and daughter Madilyn Gooch of Allen, TX and step-grandchildren Ashlyn and Thomas Gooch, Jr.; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends and neighbors. Memorial Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2014, at Faith Lutheran Church, 11115 Hanson Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433, Rev. Kevin Doely officiating. Private interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
