Stephanie Leugemors

Stephanie Jo Thomas, 52, of Plano, Texas, passed away December 4, 2023. Stephanie was born in Tulsa, Okla., to Pam and John Thomas at Tulsa’s own “pink palace,” also known as St. Francis. For those who knew Stephanie, it’s no surprise she was born in a “palace”. Raised in Tulsa, Stephanie attended East Central High School. Throughout her school career, Stephanie enjoyed cheerleading and was very active in gymnastics. After high school, Stephanie moved to Texas to start a family. Her oldest son, Tyler, was born in Amarillo and her youngest, Hayden, in Carrollton. She eventually made her way to Dallas and worked in sales for both “The Dallas Morning News,” and later, in the apartment industry. It’s there, she found her love of decorating. Besides decorating, Stephanie enjoyed traveling (especially to her Aunt Nancy and Uncle Pete’s house in Florida), OU football, going to concerts, hanging out with friends and most recently, learning about every true crime there was a documentary about. If you ever wondered what you should watch on tv, you could call Stephanie and she would tell you exactly what you should be watching and the status of the case. Once Stephanie met the love of her life, Bryan Jackson, they ended up settling in Plano and Stephanie took great pride in making their home a place where friends and family were always welcome. Redecorating was a constant and Stephanie became a pro at sniffing out the best deal. Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Pamela Pierce as well as both sets of grandparents. She is survived by her partner in life, Bryan Jackson, and her two sons, Tyler Grindstaff and Hayden Leugemors. She is also survived by her brother, Chad Bauman, of Coweta, Okla. Stephanie would want her feline kids mentioned too – Ben, Casey, Sadie and River. As well as her bonus daughters, Haley Cooper and Jenna Jackson. She also leaves behind a multitude of friends, associates and extended family. A memorial service will be held at Distinctive Life, located at 1611 N Central Expressway, in Plano, Texas, on December 15 at 2:00 p.m.
