A native of Millinocket, Maine, Denise was one of eight children in a farming family who taught her the value of hard work at an early age. She began her career in the funeral industry in 2007 and has managed pre-need services for more than 11 years. “I have such a fulfilling job in helping families pre-plan at Distinctive Life,” says Denise, “and I have the joy of knowing that one day their loved one will have the best gift ever given to them.” Beyond working directly to help families plan, she is focused on assisting and teaching the Distinctive Life counselors to do their best for families in every way, as if they were taking care of their own family.
Before starting her funeral services career, Denise owned a home-based business in Miami and was an active PTA member in her four children’s schools. She began her professional career in sales support for a software development company and a web design business during the internet’s infancy.
Denise enjoys spending time with her three adult sons – Jeffrey, Centis, and Sam – and her two grandsons as well as her teen daughter Kira. She helps raise money for a variety of organizations, especially those connected with fighting diabetes in honor of her son Centis, who has Type I diabetes despite no family history of the disease.
